There will be a memorial service at 7PM Thursday July 19, 2012 at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home for Doreen S. Groover of Hubbard, Ohio; who passed away Friday July 13, 2012 at her residence after a long illness.

Doreen was born May 15, 1960 in Warren, Ohio a daughter of Stephen and Mary F. Carmen Stefanik. She lived most of her life in Hubbard, Ohio.

Doreen was a 1978 graduate of Hubbard High School. She received a degree in bookkeeping from Adelphia Business College in 1986, and became a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1987. She worked as a certified nurse’s assistant in California for 15 years.

She leaves her Pride and Joy, her daughter Davina R. Groover age 18 who is attending La Roche College in Pittsburgh. Her mother Mary Frances Stefanik of Hubbard, her brother James Stefanik (Donna) of Masury. Her sisters Debbie Bennett of Hubbard. Mary Annette (Chuck) Vestal of Hubbard, and Christine (Rich) Sayers of Girard.

Doreen also leaves her step brothers and sisters Steve Stefanik, Jack Stefanik, Robin Gross and Theresa Geleskey; as well as 7 nieces and nephews and 2 great-nephews.

Doreen was preceded in death by her loving step father Stephen Stefanik, who raised her. She was also preceded in death by her biological father Richard Groover, her grandparents Jack and Mary Carmen, and her step brothers Larry Stefanik and Scott Stefanik; as well as her step sister Twila Stefanik.

Calling Hours will be Thursday July 19, 2012 from 6 to 7pm at the Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home in Hubbard.
